I just had to comment on Gertie's Christmas Party. Well, from my end, I thought it went very well. Especially considering what happened last year with the fire and the tree.
W. couldn't go because of theme park openings but I went with all of our daughters. Though I am pretty sure that most of my daughters only came because Ruth and her boys came. Apparently Ruth's boys are little princes and little princesses need little princes. Though, I'm not going to tell Ruth that because she already thinks my girls are boy-crazy as it is. Which, they are when you think about it but then again, most girls their ages are. Even Bertha is slightly boy-crazy with the way she idolizes Michael and Jason.
The poor girl, you should have seen her after the party. She was devastated with the fact that Michael and Jason weren't talking. She didn't know who to follow around the neighborhood. Not that either of them were to be found around the neighborhood when they were fighting.
But I'm getting off track here because I'm suppose to be telling you all about Gertie's fabulous Christmas party. First of all the Christmas tree was absolutely stunning. Gertie, you and the boys outdid yourself this year. It shedded a bit much but it looked gorgeous.
And poor, poor Sella Bwan. She seemed tramautized by the end of the night. Now, I didn't witness it myself, but I heard that she was trying to impress a young boy only for him to start chasing after another young boy. But I heard this from my daughters. I also heard that she witnessed Samara and Sadako playing together and that was what traumatized her. All I know is that at some point during the evening, Sella curled up into the fetal position and started rocking back and forth in the corner. I'm use to Jason doing this (after all he has a very debilitating fear of water) but I had never thought Sella would do something like that. She just seems so obedient and we all know that Stephanie wouldn't want her to do anything like that.
Now, the food was delicious. There was plenty of turkey and stuffing. Gertie thought of everything, she even had some bologna sandwiches because she had heard of my cravings for the things. Bless her heart. And of course there was lots of eggnog.
Anyway, I've prattled on about Gertie's wonderful party long enough. I should be going now. Merry Christmas. =)

Eggnog, Bologna and Jason Voorhees
Well, it is a very good thing that it is Christmas time because I have been craving eggnog (the non-alcoholic type of course) and bologna sandwiches. That is all that I have been wanting to eat for the last three days which is very strange considering that I am usually very much against bologna. However, lately, I have been eating bologna sandwiches with all of my younger daughters who just think that I've finally figured out the wonders of bologna. My older daughters have figured out that I am pregnant again and they just roll their eyes at the younger ones.
Now, I have recently just found out that Jason Voorhees has been let out of the hospital after he had been very severely injured. I cannot even begin to tell you how relieved I am at that news as he is the best friend of Michael who I usually get to babysit Bertha. Now, Bertha adores both Michael and Jason, so when we found out that Jason was injured she was a mess and started completely acting out. It took me days to calm her down and none of the other girls dared to go near her for fear. Normally, for any of the other girls, I would have gotten W. to help, however he is convinced that Bertha is not his child so it was all up to me.
Right now though, I am waiting for Bertha to finish getting ready so that we can visit Jason as that is the only way she will believe me that he is alright.

This Is For You Gertie
Alright Gertie, I told you that I would post on this thing for you. Though I don't think you realize how difficult it is to do anything in this house hold. For instance, just now, I have two of my younger daughters on my lap trying to get my attention and asking what I am doing. But I am posting and I have something very important to say at the end.
Honestly, sometimes I wonder how I happened to have so many children. All of which are girls. The truth is that I signed an agreement with my husband that we would keep having children until we had at least one boy and one girl or until I could no longer have children. Well, we haven't managed to have a single boy yet.
I'll list off my children and their ages:
Rachel (Rapunzel) is 24 and my oldest
Belinda (Tinkerbell) is 22
Elizabeth (Cinderella) is 20
Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) and Ariel (the Little Mermaid) are both 17, my first set of twins and they are identical down to the last freckle
Esmerelda is 16
Patricia (Pocahontas) is 13
Jezebelle (Belle) and Jasmine are 11, also twins however they look absolutely nothing alike.
Bertha is 8
Sarah (Snow White) is 5
Melanie (Mewan)is 3
In case you haven't noticed, there are a few names or princess names in brackets. That is because most of my children seem to think that they should be called or known as those names. Though I am pretty sure that Melanie just cannot pronounce her own name. However Esmerelda, Jasmine and Bertha do like to go by their own names rather than what they think they should be called. That's why I allow Esmerelda to go busking on street corners and Jasmine to keep sneaking off to the zoo to visit the tigers. I'm sure at some point that W. will buy her a tiger, that seems like something he would do. Bertha tends to just act out against her sisters but I am sure that she only acts out because W. spends so little time with her.
Now, it is difficult when you have so many children, to spend time with them all. But sometimes, I think that W. has something against Bertha. He won't spend any time with her or buy her presents like he does the other girls. Even when we go out just him and me, he will get individual baby sitters for all the younger girls except for Bertha. Now, sometimes I will get the older girls to help look after the younger ones but I don't want to ruin their lives by constantly getting them to help. So I like to call Gertie's boy. I don't know how he does it, but he always manages to get Bertha to behave. In fact, he is so good that she is on her best behaviour for at least a day after he has babysat. Now that he's older, I think it's time to give him the key to the west wing of the castle where Bertha is. This way he can take her out when he babysits and not worry about the door locking automatically behind them. Of course, I will have to speak with Gertie about this first.
Now, here is the extra special part that I told you all about at the beginning. You would think after having 12 children that I would be through with giving birth but unfortunately I haven't gone through the big M just yet. I thought maybe, just maybe because I didn't get my last visit from Aunt Flow (I have to be careful of what I write just in case those little eyes understand). But W. took me to a doctor so that we could find out and it turns out that I'm pregnant again. I hope it's a boy this time and we can call him Tian however, as I have learned from experience that I tend to have girls, if the baby is a girl we will call her Tiana or something similar. I just hope she is more like Bertha because she is the only normal child I have in this house.

Magic Mirror?
So, long story short I have a lot of children and they are all girls. In fact, most of them like to pretend that they are princesses. It wouldn't be so bad except that my husband W. Desnay thinks of himself as a king and encourages our daughters to behave like princesses. Well, all of our daughters except for one, Bertha. But I'll tell you more about Bertha later. Right now I'm talking about Sarah, who prefers to be called White as in Snow White.
Today Sarah came up to me and sat on my lap while I was reading through my friend Gertie's blog. Then she looked up at me and started calling me a wicked stepmother. I mean come on. I carried you in my body for 10 freaking months and you're calling me your wicked stepmother? Well, you can't really yell at a five year old when you are in a room filled with people so I calmly asked her what she was talking about. Turns out Sarah had gotten it into her head that my computer was a magic mirror just like the stepmother in her favourite story has.
Now, I am well aware that my flatscreen computer monitor hangs on a wall just like the magic mirror. I am also aware of the fact that I use it to talk to other people outside of my family. But that didn't stop me from putting her in time out for an hour. Of course that just sort of made the idea stick in her head that I was the evil stepmother because their nanny doesn't ever put them in time outs.
Honestly, I don't know how I get myself into these messes. Now I have to convince my five year old that her real mother isn't dead and that I am not her stepmother.
